Common Questions.

What can I expect from my photoshoot?

I offer you a complete experience that starts way before your photo session.

  1. Session prep: I work with you to plan the perfect session to get the results you're dreaming of.

  2. Photo session: Just relax and enjoy the moment, knowing I'm taking care of capturing everything perfectly.

  3. Professional editing: Every single image is carefully edited for colors and composition to make you look your best.

  4. Online gallery: All your photos will be available in a beautiful, easy-to-access online gallery.

How many photos will I get?

The short answer is: lots! The number of photos changes from wedding to wedding, depending on how many hours I'm there, if there's a second photographer, and all the fun stuff that happens during the day. Usually, I give you between 70 and 100 photos per hour, but I don't really have a limit. Within 48 hours of your wedding, you'll get a sneak peek of your photos. Then, you'll receive all your final images in your own personalized online gallery 8 to 10 weeks after your wedding date. For engagement, family, or portrait sessions, you'll get the number of photos you paid for, based on what you need, 4 to 5 weeks after your session.

How much does it cost?

It all depends on your project!

  • Starting at $2,300 for a wedding

  • Starting at $460 for engagement or family sessions

Tell me about your project, and I'll show you all the possible options!

Do you travel for photo sessions?

Yes! If you're planning a wedding or have a cool spot in mind for a session outside of Greater Montreal, Quebec, or even Canada, feel free to pack me in your suitcase! Of course, I do charge travel fees to cover my trip expenses.

How do we book you?

The booking process is super easy! Start by sending me a message using my contact form. Once we've chatted and picked the best package for you, I'll send over the contract and invoice for you to read, sign, and pay. Once I've received the contract and the 40% deposit, it's official!

How far in advance should we book you?

For weddings, I take bookings up to a year in advance, but usually it's more like 6 to 10 months before the big day. Other sessions are generally booked up to three months ahead, depending on when I'm free. Even if you're a last-minute planner and decide you'd love a photographer just two weeks before your wedding or event, please don't hesitate to contact me.

What if I need to cancel or change my session date?

When you make a deposit, it's non-refundable because I'm holding that date just for you and turning down other bookings for that same day. Plus, I make sure to set aside time to choose, edit, and deliver your photos in a good timeframe. If you cancel 90 days before your scheduled date, the remaining balance will still need to be paid. It might be possible to reschedule your session for a new date, if I have availability.

I'm not photogenic. Will my photos still look good?

Most people think they're not photogenic. Don't you worry! You definitely don't need to be a professional model to get photos you'll adore. I'll work with you to make you feel super comfortable, show you a few easy poses, get you moving a little, and give you some simple directions throughout the session to find what makes you shine brightest. My main goal is actually for you to completely forget I'm even there, so you can just soak up your moment. You're in good hands!

Will my photos be edited?

Yes, every single one! Once you've chosen your favorite photos, I make sure each of them has that perfect finished look you're hoping for.

Can you Photoshop my face?

If you happen to have a pimple or something that isn't usually on your face, I can totally remove it from your photos. However, I never change how your face looks. Everyone is beautiful and unique in their own way, and my goal is to give you an experience that makes you feel comfortable and 100% yourself in front of the camera.

Do you have all the gear you need?

Of course! For every session, I make sure I have everything I need, plus spare batteries, memory cards, and the right lenses for the project. All you have to do is show up and get your picture taken!

Do you have a backup photographer in case of an emergency?

That's a really good question! Unfortunately, because of the nature of our job, it's tough to book a backup photographer*. The people I'd trust to capture your day usually already have a full schedule of weddings booked. If a major emergency came up at the last minute, I have a network of local photographers I can reach out to to find someone. Don't worry, I've never had to do that, and I've never missed a wedding. I don't take your big day lightly!

*If you choose a package with a second photographer, they will be booked in advance.

How do you choose the second photographer?

The second photographers I work with are super talented people I trust completely. They have their own businesses and really know their stuff. Plus, I'll be the one editing all the photos to make sure your final selection looks consistent and beautiful.

Do you also take traditional family photos?

Absolutely! I know how important family photos are, and I always make sure to set aside 20 to 25 minutes to capture them.

What's a first look and do we need to have one?

Personally, I love first looks! It's all about capturing that intimate moment when the couple sees each other for the very first time, just minutes before the ceremony starts. Whether or not you have one is totally up to you and how you picture your wedding day unfolding. I'll work with you to create the perfect photo timeline, with or without a first look.

Do you recommend an engagement session?

Yes! Not only does it give you photos to use for your wedding invitation if you need them, but it also lets you "practice" a photo session together before the big day. And let's be honest, you can never have too many beautiful couple photos to share on social media!

Do you offer wedding albums and photo printing?

Yes! Custom albums start at $600 including taxes, and your gallery gives you access to an online store where you can print, download, share, and order your photos.

What should I wear for my photo session?

Make sure you feel good and are comfortable. That's how you'll be most at ease in front of the camera! Try to avoid stripes or busy patterns, because they don't show up as well and can steal the show. We want YOU to be the star of the session, not your clothes!

Do you or I choose the location for the session?

If you have a spot in mind, that's perfect! We can go back to where you got engaged, your favorite park, or just somewhere you really like. I'll do everything I can to photograph you at the location of your choice. I can also help you find the ideal spot for your session based on the look you want and how you plan to get around.
