My 7 favorite cottages to rent for a wedding
Monsieur Chalets offers a wide range of houses, villas and mansions to suit every number of guests and destination. It's hard to choose between so many sumptuous retreats! To help you in your decision, or simply to inspire you to discover the other offerings, I've put together a short list of inspiring chalets.
1. Chalet Chardonnay
With room for up to 10 guests, this Farm House-style cottage is perfect for a small-scale wedding. Located in Chertsey, in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, it offers family-friendly amenities (which is no mean feat!). The many windows that let in natural light, the Scandinavian style of the house and its balcony with access to the lake are sure to create memorable photos.
2. Flodhaus in Mauricie
This luxurious chalet can accommodate 22 guests for an upscale stay in the heart of nature. With its Scandinavian decor and modern design, it offers visitors a calm and unique space where they can admire the St-Maurice River and have direct access to it in summer for a reception in the heart of nature and on the water's edge.
3. La Grange à Charlevoix
Don't be fooled by the chalet's name - it's a far cry from what you'd expect from a barn! Situated at the top of a ridge, this 14-person accommodation showcases the wild charm of the surrounding nature, with its view of the St. Lawrence River. The white cedar of the décor, the cathedral ceiling and the almost panoramic view of the landscape offer great photographic opportunities!
4. Manoir des Forges in Mauricie
Built to accommodate large groups (30 people), this chalet is located on the banks of the St-Maurice River. Its cozy fireplaces and gourmet kitchen will create an atmosphere where every view rhymes with luxury!
5. Boreal forest in the Laurentians
This contemporary-style chalet in Mont-Tremblant is surrounded by nature. Guests (maximum 16) will feel at one with the forest, as it appears everywhere. For guaranteed privacy and photos that are both elegant and rustic!

6. Château Alyma in the Laurentians
This large log cabin is available for 50 guests. Its wide open spaces, lake views and huge terrace will create unforgettable moments with your loved ones.
7. The belvedere in Quebec City
Its location in the heart of nature, its multiple views, the architecture of the living room and its outdoor terrace are wonderful points of interest for a professional photographer. With room for 12 guests, it would be a shame not to take advantage of its huge grounds!

Getting married in a chalet: the option for romantics looking for an intimate, fairytale wedding.
Personally, I love cottage weddings. It's the perfect option for romantics looking to create an intimate atmosphere in a warm setting.
The photos are simply magnificent! Mr. and Mrs. can get ready quietly in the chalet while waiting for the guests to arrive, and the first look photos can be taken in nature. The scenery and the look of the chalet alone make a splendid backdrop, adding cachet to every photo taken.
